Veterinary Assistant

Jakson

Jakson was born and raised outside of Seattle, WA, and moved to Portland in 2017. He has always been an avid cat advocate and lover. He received his Veterinary Assistant certification in 2019 from Clark College, and is currently attending Penn Foster University for his Veterinary Technician certification. He has worked in many types of practices since joining the field in late 2017, including Emergency and Critical Care, General Practice, Shelter Medicine, and now has found his calling in Feline Radioiodine Therapy. The ability to advocate for each and every cat and owner’s experience and wellbeing is something he values greatly. He is proudly an Elite Fear-Free Certified Professional and has upheld this title since 2021. Jakson now lives in Milwaukie with his partner Jorge, their cats Morty and Gilbert, and their tiny dog Marmalade. In his spare time, he likes to go to local events and concerts with his partner, play video games, go rock hunting, and peruse local antique malls and thrift stores.
